R.O. Giles founded Giles Industries in 1959, based out of New Tazewell, Tennessee. In 2006, after 47 years of business, Southern Energy Homes recognized the excellence of our products and purchased Giles. Just a few short months later, Clayton Homes, a Berkshire Hathaway Inc. subsidiary, purchased Southern Energy Homes, giving us greater access to resources and expanding our market. Over the years, one thing hasn’t changed: the high quality of our products. Today, with more than 50 years in the business, R.O.’s grandson, Alan Neely, continues to carry on his family’s legacy, traditions, and values.
